Hello guys,

How has the week been? Hope it is going great…

Breaking News that is not so new: Donald John Trump has been inaugurated as the 45th President of the United States of America.

I am not going to talk about how sad I am Donald is the new president, because its not really any of my business. Nigeria has enough issues to worry about.

Thinking about Donald’s victory, it is still almost unbelievable that he actually won. I remember sleeping with Hillary leaving the votes and waking up to Donald leading. Heartbreaking.

Here are a few lessons from the US elections.

  • Never Ever Underestimate Anyone- This is the key lesson to be learnt. Never in my wildest imagination would anyone have thought Hillary would lose. She was overqualified and had prepared her whole life to become president, then she lost to the least qualified person for the job. Ouch! That must hurt real bad.

  • Sometimes Not Everyone Makes Right Decisions- I personally don’t understand how someone campaigns, using derogatory words, statements and the same people that are insulted voted for this man. I am really not understanding, but these things happen.

One thing is for sure, we are going to miss the Obama’s big-time 😢. Barrack was and still is to me one of the most exceptional leaders. Michelle on the other hand, gave a new meaning to the post ‘First Lady’.  Oh well up to the Trump’s to change our opinion.

Till my next post. Xoxo
